Rio is all about good things we have in this world; his passion, the beauty, the music and the thoughts. It is a light hearted fun filled movie with spectacular visuals. kissanime

The film starts with amazing display of wildlife in a jungle. Many chickens are smuggled from that jungle, the captured parrots include baby macaw. The box containing the macaw falls down and is found by a lady, Linda (Leslie Mann). The lady names him Blu and keeps him with her for years. Blu (Jesse Eisenburg) gets deeply fastened with Linda and becomes so domesticated that this individual is unable to soar. Tulio (Rodrigo Santoro), a birds’ expert, comes and tell that Blu is the last male of its species. The previous female of same varieties lives in Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. Tulio wants the macaws to mate so that their species could be saved. They head off to Brazil where Blu meets with feisty feminine of her kind, Treasure (Anne Hathaway).

Blu and Jewel have just the opposite nature. Jewel is a free of charge bird who enjoys to fly in tropics whereas Blu is a pet who does not fly and likes to experience humans. They, like a great many other rare birds, are caught by bird smugglers from Tulio’ bird refuge. Then comes the fun filled thrilling escapade of the two birds. The two are tied along when they escape. That they may have an clear problem: Blu cannot take flight and both are chained along. Inside their journey together through spectacular sites of the location they develop love for each and every other. They are helped by awesome companion wild birds and animals. Linda and Tulio are also in search for both, Bela sees Blu in the carnival. But before your woman could reach, the two birds are caught by the smugglers. The smugglers take all the chickens in a plane and fly. Linda and Tulio cannot stop them. Blu plans a scientific save and everything birds get free. Blu cannot fly and Jewel will not want to leave him. In battle with the villain parrot, Nigel (smugglers employ this chicken to plan bird catching), Jewel’s wing gets wounded. Now both the wild birds cannot fly.

Jewel will be shifted out of plane, Blu jumps after her. They both make out, Blu starts flying and both are saved. Tulio cures Jewel’s wing; Bela and Tulio produce a “Blu bird sanctuary” where both the birds fly bravely.

The bold colors, first class animation, salsa sounds, very nice visuals, fun heroes and sweet voice overs (Jesse Eisenburg and Bea Hathaway) make this film immensely watchable for kids and families. The storyline is surely predictable and occasionally it loses interest of viewers but still RIO is a total audio/ visual joy.
